a fairbairn inspired blade this weekend(test piece), and couple small taticals possibly? i got alot of paracord, and i wanna make some tacticals bad. need some kydex though. :(
 
I have to work at least part if not all the weekend. Developers were late getting final versions to deployment team. Waiting as we speak for pre-release CD's so I can install on our test system.

I delivered one knife last night and planned on being in my shop early this morning. Nope, wife had me haul her to the doc's office and then take her shopping and out to lunch. I thought I had it made until she bought 2 ornamental pear trees for me to put in when we got home. Well, they are planted, and I'm worn out. I realized my dwarf apple tree has a nice burl growing on it, and it's going to be pretty big. Anyone know what apple wood burl looks like, or if it's worth cutting? Tomorrow I would like to head to Ron's Hammer-In, but my father in law is in the hospital and not doing well, so it's all up in the air. I'm looking for some black jade for E.R.(Russ) Andrews and am boxing up a bunch of shrapnel to send to IG. George, I won't forget the pleshetts. I found them, they will be in the box, too. J., you still need a piece of shrapnel for that knife guard and some other project work?
 
What I wanted to do:

Option A:
Sharpen my dad's old surplus USMC bolo, finish the ash handle slabs;
Finish up the little wharnie blank I bought, add ash scales to it, too;
Set up new drill press; and
Try my hand at application of boiled linseed to parts I added to my 8-month-old son's wood toybox (given to us in incomplete condition).

Option B:
Go to Disneyland with all my inlaws.


What I will do instead of the two above fun options:

Clean the house up for vast amount of company coming over next weekend. :(
Oh well, some day I'll get to play with my toys again. ;)
