I'll be heading over to Jim Arbuckles house Saturday for an attempt at throwing a bunch of parts together and coming up with a heat treating oven.

Probably start on some new projects over the rest of the w/e.

What's the rest of the crew doin?

I'm about to do stock removal for a bali (somebody shoot me...) and I'm orderin allot of stuff for a few knives I'm working on.

Workin workin workin!

Starting a new folder today, also a hunter.

Gonna try :D

Mostly for tempering larger items that will be appearing in the future. Cant wrangle some stuff in the kitchen oven.

Gotto build 5 sheaths for knives I built this week and 15 sheaths for another maker. I LOVE IT ........... Church on Sunday........I hope you boys have a good weekend. Mike

A couple of sheaths for me as well. I also need to order some stag for an order I just got. I'm home alone today with no wife, no kids, so I just might actually go forge something! Hope you all have a good weekend.

I hope to glue up 3 more handles.....always have about 10 profiles to work on too :)

Sheaths NEXT weekend for me :)

The loggers are cutting trees on our 30 acres over the next couple weeks. That will take up some of my weekend. I'm working on a digitaly controlled, heat treat oven also. Forging some wrought iron and making some heat blued guards for a couple of bowies. To many projects to little time. Whatever you are doing, take time to enjoy yourself. Fred

Not much knife stuff this weekend. Did my first successful clay differential hardening on a 15" fighter last night, so im anxious to get that going on sunday....

I acquired a 250 pound Little Giant the other day, it was a great deal for me, cost a little to move it though. It's fully caked with grease and dust, so I'll scrape and clean, then prime and paint. It's a 2 day project that'll take a week. Now, to find a 500 pounder and I'll have the whole set! (My wife thinks I should collect stamps).

I have all the stuff to make a long tempering oven. I should. You got me thinking now...

I'd like to do a little duck hunting, but I don't think there will be time. I'm going to be (hopefully) fixing my VFD and get back to work on orders and some knives for an upcoming show.

Be safe everyone!

Waiting for a storm to move through this afternoon and tonight, winds expected to be 50 mph. If there's no damage from that, the forge will be roaring later this weekend......A 250 lb Little Giant...WOW!!! and I thought I had a good thing with my 25 lb Little Giant...I'm only a "wanna be" compared to that monster !!!

Grasshoppa, please add drop off spring at IG's. :jerkit:

I'm supposed to be enjoying an extra day off to make up for the fact that I haven't had a day off since the second :( The reality of my sales gig is that even though this is a company sanctioned no work day, I'll be spending a couple quality hours with my laptop tieing up loose ends from a trade show and setting appointments for next week. Oh well, gotta pay the bills.

Then hopefully I can get some handle hardware ordered and finally get to hooking up the little blast cabinet my wife got me for Christmas. Can you believe it, I've had a new tool for over two weeks and haven't even been able to hook it up I've been so busy with my day job! The bad news is that I'm concerned that conce I ge the blast cabinet hooked up, I'm going to discover that I need a more powerful compressor. Such is life.

Have a great weekend all!

3 day weekend fer us gummint folks, Saturday still pulling parts off that Blazer for my truck, can't use the engine in that one for my truck, so maybe I'll have some nice knife money coming my way :). Before that, go down to a buddy's house and see his diecast car collection and his American Indian display (lots of kachinas, woodcarvings etc). This guy tore out his dining room to put up a car and planes display! He's had most of the Baltimore city fire department through his house just for his firetruck display.

Sunday gonna visit my granny in the hospice, and try to make at least Sunday a happy one.

Monday, hopefully will go up to central PA to get some woodcarving pointers from an old woodcarver. Really just want to see how he's doing, he's been on deaths door for sometime now.

silenthunter, I just noticed your sig line. :).... We bought "Serenity" for Christmas and hesitated to watch for awhile, knowing it would be the "last episode". :( What a great series Firefly was. :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend.....
