Long weekend for me. Dont know what kind of trouble I'll get into.

Plan on starting the head for a really fancy pipe-hawk asap and need to do some finishing work on big project.

What ya'll doing.
 
Headed to Charleston, SC with my beautiful wife for the Southeastern Wildlife Expo. Plenty of knifemakers in attendance, as well as some suppliers. Hope to stay warm and dry! Have a great weekend!
 
Yesterday at 60F !! I did March stuff, cut down a tree , trimmed bushes etc. Today a cold front is going to come so it looks like indoor projects !
 
Stuck doing a trade show in Greensboro, NC. with my day job. Just 5 more weeks and I will be retired and a full time knife maker. (when the fish aren't biting)
 
Trying to determine if i cut my tendon last night. Searching for my missing piece of knuckle to take a pic for higgy...shop time if this finger isnt killig me as much as it is now....

I'm south of Buffalo, and the temps at 1AM today were 61 degrees... temps 7 hrs later are 33 degrees and plummeting! Supposed to see 6-10 inches of snow today, too! WOOHOO!!!!

Hopefully going to work on handles today, if the power stays on -- MAN is it windy!
 
going to try and finish this knife I ruined 2 pieces of Ivory on yesterday and the day before.Then just forge all weekend and see what kind of trouble I can get into.

Long weekend here too. Should be shop time this morning, but I have to knock out the Honey-Do list first!!! Yeah, yeah, you all can talk big, but you know how it really works! I'm hoping to get the scales attached on one order, and get the next one profiled at least. My mom is coming into town on Sunday. That means......built in babysitter so I might actually have a date with my wife! You all have a good one.

I'm finishing a couple bird and trouts complete with sheaths. I hope to get them up for sale this afternoon with pics. I'll be one busy SOB this weekend. I got two folders due out next week. Wifey is bitching about money flow again. Looks like no new seat for my Kawasaki again this month. :(

While I am griping, I may as well gripe about the fact I can't even get up enough knives for a show right now. I don't see how you other fulltimers do it. I'm spending 60-70 hrs a week in the shop now, and barely able to satisfy my customers. I'm chock full of customer backlog right now, and while that keeps the money flowing in, I never have any time for consumating the scores of ideas rattling around inside my melon.

Fark, sorry to drag down the typically-uplifting Friday Thread. I'll stfu and get back to work now....

I'll be doing some forging and maybe try and play around with CAD. I have no idea what I'm doing though. (with CAD and the forge ;) )
 
I was thinking that some Kydex...a heat gun...a Kydex press...a tube of superglue and we could have TikTock in the shop this weekend. Man I am still getting the shakes visualizing that knuckle , only cause I've been there.
I can see him trying to grind with that finger sticking straight at attention bumping into everything within 5'. Hope you heal quick TikTock!

Hey all, rank amateur here, gonna try to start to finish a knife for my dad who is here from Alaska for a week or so. And re-ht a lil blacksmith number that took a right turn on me(1st real one from me). We'll see. Gonna try and keep my knuckles clear, every post on Tiks slip makes me cringe. Y'all have good ones,

Today and a lot of tomorrow....Why, I haven't a clue...I'll still be poor.

I have to finish details on a bulk purchase.
I have a rifle to finish.
I have to finish a writeup on one of Larry's knives.
 
Right now it is about -10f with -30 to -40 wind chill. Saturday even colder so I think I will stay at home at my vice and file out more patterns for a new flintlock. Maybe go over to my daughters and switch the TV on to a news station -- that REALLY gets to the grandkids:D
