Friday

Thats good news Fred
Still cold for sitting on a tractor, but much better than 0

Oh yeah....Burchtree buy that bronco! Those were some of the coolest trucks ford ever built. I think one would look perfect parked next to me F350....but I'm way too broke:D

My daughter is at her mom's all weekend, my girlfriend's daughter is at her grandma's... first weekend in a long time for just me and the woman to have the house to ourselves. I suspect there will be drinking and smooching involved. :)

Other than that, I'm waiting for payday next week so I can order some steel, I've plumb run out of old junk knives and scrap steel to learn/practice grinding on...

I'll be double checking my list of things to buy to finish my forge, be on the look out on ebay for a cheap motor to eventually get myself a belt grinder, and trying to chip enough ice away from my garage door so that i can get into my workshop again =D

Just staying in out of the cold and snow this weekend. The shop is like a freezer and the price of heating oil is not worth the expense of heating the shop. It's supposed to be warming up a lot soon, so I can get back in there and finish some hunters.
Next weekend will be spent mostly hog hunting near home, about 30 miles from here. I have some hunting pals and a brother that are planning on joining in, so it should be a good time had by all.
I received my shipment of great stabilized scales from Gene Martin a short while back and figured out a nice plus for local clients. I show them the different sets of scales and let them pick out their handle wood before their knife is built. One repeat client sorted through the scales and picked out two sets and really appreciated being shown the different scales. She wants buckeye burl like the previous knife I built for her, and had several sets to pick from.
Gene has been so great to deal with that I buy all my stabilized scales from him.
