hey guys.. here's a few pics from over night camping trip on friday.. we went down to the Pinnacles Natl. Monument, which is about 1 hour and 45 min. away.... we hadn't made any reservations, so we only stayed fri. night and we did a nice hike on saturday...
it ended up working out great.. we camped with 2 other families and our friend Greg, so we opted for a group site which accomidates up to 20 people... it was a lot of fun... we usually make our way out there a few times a year... i also grew up in a town which is about an hour from here...
this place is amazing.. it's got some great rockclimbing too... there are also quite a few caves to explore...
i love this area, especially this time of year, with the rolling green, oak covered hills.. it reminds me a lot of my youth...
some views from our campsite...
we found a racoon in the food box, as soon as we got there...
some dirty critters...
preping some spinich salad for dinner, with my Charlieridge bushcrafter... i love this knife... it has been seeing a lot of use lately... dinner was was a hit.. turkey chili dogs with spinich salad... topped off with some brownies and chocolate cashew cookies...
pocket dump - the SAK camper..
mmmm coffee...
our crew hitting the trail out to the reservoir...
more to come...
