Friends in the knife world?

Hey friends,
Just thinking about you'all... how many friends you have that share the same interest's in knive's... not many... maybe one?

I've got a few. Although one friend who uses a knife daily and teaches Filipino stick and knife fighting low-key scolded me about how many knives I had when he saw my collection. I stayed quiet as he was jelping me fix up my garage. Then he had to borrow a knife because he forgot to bring one, but I still stayed quiet and let him use my Superleaf. Then he liked the Superleaf so much he offered to buy it from me. I failed to stay quiet at that point.
 
if you have one consider yourself lucky... no one i know shares my addiction.

I am luckly enough to have two knife nuts that are friends of mine. One of them I met through here on a trade, it turns out he lives right by me.
 
He's my friend, but I wouldn't consider him a knife nut. He carries a knife with him, but it's usually a piece of crap. He enjoys looking at my small collection, likes to ask me questions about them.
 
Sadly no, but I have been trying to create them by gifting knives whenever I can. PM2, Sog Flash II, Persistance, Opinels, Moras.. so far nobody has caught the bug :(
 
none a couple of them carry knives but im the only one who is really into them. Most of them think im a little nuts lol because i tend to flick my knives open and closed when im bored
 
In real life... None. They already think I'm nuts for collecting knives but if they knew about even half of my purchases I do believe I would have an intervention on my hands.
 
None of my friends have yet to appreciate the knife for anything more than a tool, which is cool. Different strokes for different folks. I must admit that it would be nice to share my interest for knives with a friend. Of course I might be even more over the top if I had a friend who promoted my knife interest, and end up costing me more. Kinda like feeding the beast. Nahh, I can always employ self control.
 
Just one. We used to work together but now he lives 500 miles away.

Used to live where nobody else carried or liked knives, just us. Now I live where everybody carries a knife but nobody really LIKES them :o
 
One great guy I used to work with...he's is Shreveport. One young fellow I met here online from Indianapolis area. Super nice.
 
None that I am aware of so far. Several of my co-workers are hunters and they do use knives, but I don't believe they are "into" knives, just use them in hunting and fishing. My workplace bans knives on the premesis, so it's not like I can take one in to work to show them anyway.
 
I unintentionally got a friend into this stuff. Peer pressure, i think not! He did it himself (with the help of my 7" Ka-Bar fighting knife)
 
Just my little brother.

I just went to a get together on another knife forum, so that's nice to get in touch with fellow knife lovers that are nearby.
