Friends in the knife world?

Just my Dad, he actually got me hooked on knives. He gifted me a Leek, and there's been no looking back since then.

None. They just shake their heads. Which is why the internet is so important to many of us.

It's sad ain'it? Actually though, last night a good friend of mine who I gifted a kershaw cryo, mentioned he ordered himself a cold steel voyager and was excited about it. It was then I knew...

Sadly no, but I have been trying to create them by gifting knives whenever I can. PM2, Sog Flash II, Persistance, Opinels, Moras.. so far nobody has caught the bug :(

damn i wish someone would gift me knives like that or knives at all. most of my friends don't get my obsession with knives, my cousins like knives but don't really know much about them so i can't really talk to anyone about them without them thinking i'm some kind of nut. I'm thankful for the internet otherwise i wouldn't have anyone to discuss it with

My dad is a knife nut (he's actually the one that started me on my addiction), but he's now moved away from knives because he feels his collection is complete and he wants to concentrate on guns.

No knife friends here, really. Maybe because knifing isn't something you get together to do unless you are in West Side Story or the Beat It video.

Musician friends, loads. Hiking buddies, check.

I few people at my old job were astonished at my collection. They weren't knife people but some liked to check back time to time to see what new knife I had in my pocket. My little brother isn't to big on knives but I got him a Full Sized Griptilian for his birthday and he tells me that sometimes he has an urge just to play the axis lock in public, I'm pretty sure I got the ball rolling lol. Last but not least, my bestfriend for 6 years got around into knives the at the same time I did around in December of 2011. He's more of a high-end balisong collector while I'm more of a higher end folder guy. And his roomate collects knives of the lower end of the spectrum (cheaper spydies, buck, frost cutlery). It's a start at least! Still wish I knew more people that liked higher end knives though.
