Friends shouldn't let friends go Busse-less

I will have to look into this method... perhaps I'll have better luck if I relocate to the states  I suppose I have drunk the proverbial kool-aid when it comes to Busse - it shouldn't be long until I'm raiding the swedish forests with my first infi chopper :D

Let me know how it goes! ;) We ladies have to have some perks!

Hey, I have only been using this site for around a month now. I started taking up my liking for blades again since I came to study at Uni in York around 18months ago. I really felt the need to start getting back out hiking, camping and just getting basically getting my backside out into the country and appreciating it.
I decided I needed to get myself a dam fine Knife that was going to last me all my life. From recognising Busse knives over a year ago I just got my very first one this week, a NMSFNO and I absolutely love it LOL ( Bit of an understatement really!!!) All I need to do is give it a razor sharp edge ( Which Im a little worried about because It is my first Busse )
I will upload a pic when I can.

Cant wait to get out and see what this blade can do!!::eek:

Somewhere in York in the good old United Kingdom!!

I too am new to Busse. I was looking for a strong knife and ran across all of the reviews of Busse's blades and customer service. I got my first SNFO 2 weeks ago. Now I have NMSFNO on the way and a TGLB on order. I still need a small slicer, I just haven't decided what it will be yet.

I think I have a problem........................:)

I was away from BF when this thread was posted, so I missed it. But now that it's been resurrected, I'll go ahead and chime in.

Like others, I was on the search for a strong fixed-blade when I first discovered Bladeforums. I don't remember the exact circumstances, but two things in particular led me to Busse. The first was a review of a knife called the Howling Rat from a guy by the name of Cliff Stamp. Looking at pictures of someone hanging from a Howling Rat embedded in a wall and using it to chop through a car door hinge with no discernible damage were pretty impressive. (You can still find Cliff's review of the Howling Rat here: http://www.cliffstamp.com/knives/reviews/howling_rat.html.)

But then I came across this thread:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/289315-Hello-everyone

Needless to say, that was all the convincing I needed. My first real knife purchase was a Camp Tramp and it remains to this day the last knife I'd ever part with.

When the going gets tough, the tough choose Busse! :)
