Wow this place has not changed... Trolls abound. It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is for people to read something, feel the hate (Too strong a word?) inside grow and give in to the urge to post rather than move on to other things they find appealing or happy.

If Lorien and STeven can get along  I would think some others could try to be the bigger man step back from a thread?

And yes, I am aware that you really don't care what I think....never have, never will, want me to eat a s**t sandwich, etc.

No, I feel compassion for you...no insults, not animosity. Have been reflecting on it.

Wish the best for you, Ken.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Gentlemen,

We routinely allow for slightly off-topic threads when the community is participating in the fun. The key word being "fun." Why even take the time to type out a gripe in the thread? Why not just report the post if you think it's doesn't belong or breaking a rule? The answer is you want YOUR voice heard as well even if it is to proclaim you're the one who pissed in the punch bowl.

Oh....and Happy birthday STeven. :)

Thanks for the good wishes Jason.

As you have said, frequently, allowances are made for a slight detour of topic, since my birthday occurred at the SHOT Show, Antique Arms and Armor and TKI, figured that this would be the correct place for bringing it up AS WELL as "friend" stories tied into the custom knife community.

Best Regards,

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

Not an accurate assessment, but the interpretation is definitely worth a chuckle :)

One of the best attributes of a human is their ability to forgive.

Yes, I agree. If Steven believed that 12345678910's post did not belong here or broke a rule, he should have just reported it to his good buddy (you) instead of telling him to eat a s**t sandwich and telling him it belonged in the "Whine & Cheese" forum instead of here.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Now let's get back to the "fun" of discussing Steven's friend's "own shortcomings" and how another one of his "friends" decided that it was more important to get the money than do the right thing....and yet another "friend" decided to open his big fat mouth and continue the "wrong" thing.

There - I'm having fun already!

I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who missed the people aspect of our world of customs. As far as STeven, as we have grown closer over the years I could not ask for a better friend and few that I know come close to the passion he exhibts for our community.
