Hello all from Austin, Texas! Wow, I've been browsing for a few days now on this site, especially the ESEE sub forum and I have to say I am very impressed with alot of yall's posts. I just ordered an ESEE 4 straight edge and I can't wait to get it. I should have it by the end of the week.

I met texastony over at xdtalk.com in the SHTF sub forum a few months back as I am an avid shooter of Springfiled XD pistols. And when I saw his post of all his ESEE knives recently, I started to take a real hard look at the product. At the time I asked about ESEE I had no idea he was affiliated with the company. I did a lot of research on different companies before I decided that I really wanted an ESEE blade. I am extremely impressed by not only the styling of these knives. But the sheer toughness and ruggednes of these blades.

So thank you to texastony for inviting me over to bladeforums. I have a lot to learn from you guys. The ESEE 4 is my first and it sure won't be my last. As I'm already thinking about my next one. :D

Welcome. You need more ESEE blades and a fire kit as well. You DO know about the fire kits right? :D

welcome! whoa, i forgot about xdtalk :o i have an xd45 compact (my very first gun too!) and used to lurk there a lot but after the knife bug bit me about 2 yrs ago i rarely surf gun forums now...might have to put that site back in my bookmark.

WELCOME TO THE FORUMS AND ESEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you're here. So, you got a 4 on order, but you can't EDC that thing, so, better get an Izula, HEST, and ESEE3. That way you can change out a few times a week.

Fire kit and AH1 Arrow head, is a must.

Start saving up, you will also need the ESEE5, ESEE6, and Junglas.

With all that steel, you're gonna need a bag, better get the Laserna Junglas pack.

That should get you started. Yeah, that will do for now.

Good luck, and just a word of caution, wear rubber gloves when you handle that ESEE4. Just sayin'. Moose

AKC75,

Welcome to the forums. Glad to have you with us. I'd strongly recommend an Izula II for a companion to that ESEE 4 (Perhaps the greatest knife in the ESEE line.)

God bless,
Adam

I'm sure you have seen lots of the kits TTD has put together. That's how he got the nicknames:

O'Master of Kit
The Kit Sensei
Kit Carson
Kitty-kitty Bang-bang
Kit-brick
Kit VanWinkle

Welcome AKC75 , Glad you made it !

You'll need another as a companion blade for that 4

Thanks T. Yea man I think the Izulu is next on my list.

Sure do. Definitely on my list.

Great guns and a great forum. I just hit past my 3K post mark in just a hair over a year.

Welcome! The 4 is a great place to start.

Yea man.

welcome. I honestly believe the 4 might be the perfect "do it all" knife.

After all the research I did this is why I chose the 4!

Thanks guys! I'm looking forward to learning about all the knife skills represented in this forum. Again, I'm very impressed with the skill sets that I have seen here.

Why yes I have! Haha! When I first met T over at xdtalk he posted some great stuff. And his ESEE knife collection is insane! He's been very helpful in the SHTF thread over there.

welcome aboard man! don't be afraid to use that knife, they don't like sitting in the safe.

I ain't scared. You should see my Gerber EDC 4.25" Tanto blade. I plan on using the hell out of this knife. In fact, If I can find a good IWB sheath for it I'll pack it along side my SA XD9 Service model pistol. After all, TX maximum carry length is 4.5" and the ESEE 4 falls right into that categoery. :D

Welcome to ESEE Forums, I love you (idiocracy reference) - but anyway, im sure you will enjoy esee products as much as everyone else does.
