FRN with Wire Clip?

Hey everybody. I was just wondering if anyone else would be interested in a folder with a lower price point than the Caly 3 and various penknives that includes a low profile wire clip like these models. I'm thinking in the price range of the Delica, Endura, Native (FRN), and Salt models. I was excited to see the G-10 Polliwog, but it's just too much for me to pay for a knife right now.

Also, I know various people could make a low-rider clip for me, but adding a custom modification would cancel out the price factor...

I remember there was the D'Allara, although it wasn't a low-ride clip

Right. The Native 3 is the same way. I love the low profile and limited visibility of the Caly 3 and UKPK (and now Urban), but with the way I use knives (not as much or as hard as some of you, and not as concerned about steel quality, etc...) and my current budget, I can't justify spending $100 on a 3" or smaller folder.

Not entirely sure how well the Caly 3/UKPK style of clip would work with FRN since it is consderably softer and more easily deformed than G-10, CF, or Micarta. At the very least, it would probably have to be coupled with a metal backstrap, something few of the current FRN handled knives use. On the other hand, there has been talk of lower priced FRN versions of the UKPK and Urban, so perhaps your wish will be granted.
