I was too intimidated to bid for knives at the Bose' table, but when I saw this on Les Roberson's table I just couldn't resist. It was love ar first site.
I stopped by the Bose table later and asked Tony what he could tell me abour the knife? He said, it was made back in the 80's and he didn't do that style anymore. He thought the stag still looked good and that he hoped I would use it and enjoy it. I told him I plan to. I have carried it since I went back to work.

About the photo, it's taken with my new Nikon Coolpix 4300 digicam. Lighting is from the skylight of the Waverly Hotel. I just laid the knife on the Blade Show program and snapped a pic no flash. Aside from cropping this photo hasn't been played with.

"Houston...we have a problem...."

I can't seem to get this pictured to load here or on my album site...but I'm working on it. :(

I had the pleasure of sharing a table at breakfast with PhilL and Neil Ostroff. That knife is a beauty! And, no, I don't believe Phil will be taking "offers" on THAT one!

;)

(Nice score, Phil! And a pleasure to meet you!)

Got a quick look at this on Sunday (I think). Great knife Phil, and it has the "stuff" that Phil likes (Stag). I am sure you will enjoy it.

As far as the Bose bidding there really is not much too it. You just write your name down for the chance to buy it. The price is set by Tony and Reese so it really is not bidding, just a lottery for the chance to buy one. I did not get drawn this year, but it sure was fun!

Hey, if you look REALLY close, you can see a spit bubble I left on that knife, when I had my grubby mitts on it! Phil showed me that one in the Pit, and I almost didn't give it back. :D

That is a very nice looker and I bet user! I really like the style and the stag is just right for it. Great score. :D  :)

Right back at you Holger, I enjoyed your company.
Same with you Gus and Dan.

Thanks for the nice comments on the Bose, it's the only knife I came home with from the show and I'm a happy camper.

This is Gallery forum, I just got my first digicam and I had it less than a week when I left for Blade Show. I'm pretty impressed with the results from a handheld shot of the knife with available light inside the Waverly.

Any other comments?

Staggeriffic! LOL...how about Staggalious
