With great anticipation I have received photos of my latest knives from our good friend Coop.

The first is my/Terry's Persian Fighter

Next is a Puukko variation also going to Terry, for his wife Pat. It has Black Hawaiian sheep horn arranged in a herring bone pattern with a spacer of amber with abalone laminated inside. The blade also has a herring bone pattern in the damascus.

Next is STevens coastal ulu in feather crotch black walnut from DHIII and AUS8. I think this one is clean and classy.

And finally, we needed a real good image of my 1911 Combat Survivor for advertizing. This one should do very nicely.

Thanks for looking, all comments are welcomed. Please be polite with your constructive critique.

You sure come up with some wild combinations with your handle material Mark.
All of these look great. That Ulu really is beautiful.

You know I'm a happy customer, Mark and while Coop took a HELLA great shot, the knife still looks even awesomer in person.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

STeven/Mark - That black walnut REALLY sets off the package, not that the Ulu needs anything at all to do so (I have one of those babies, too - love it).

Bob/STeven, Ulus seem to have gained some interest lately, you guys are on the cutting edge. Pleasure making knives for both of you. See you again some time soon I hope.

Hi Mark Not to take away from all the great work you have done over the years but the knifes you have just shown are some of the very BEST to come out of your shop. I am glad I ordered a ulu and a mammoth tooth knife also. Its like XMAS in June . My wife and I feel honored that you took time to make these for us. You sure put so much extra work and thought into everything you do. Thank you and we cant wait to place more orders with you. Mark and Angel thank you both for putting up with my calls. Pat and Terry

Terry, the pleasure has been all ours. Finishing up the ulu, should be sending them out in a couple of days.

The knives are stunning and unique. Coop did a great job in the photos and seeing them in person on your table was a highlight for me. It was extremely enjoyable meting both you and your wife in person - and of course the selection of ivory was outstanding

Mark I have been getting all kinds of emails telling me how lucky I am to be getting those knifes from you. Its been fun. Terry

I have always enjoyed Mark's fresh perspective on his pieces: The handles, the steel, the variety.

He's sent them to be before they reach a client, and I've mailed them all over the USA. Good following.

The 1911 may need explaining to some. It's a Colt 1911 handle with the ammo cartridge as a storage for survival things: hooks, cord, striker, needles, Leatherman and coarse file. Locks in real tight as they do.

There is a second cartridge in the sheath sleeve. I didn't open that. (Fill us in, Mark.)

Then about face and go back to that incredible Persian fighter, with the difficult methods to create the scales. Whoooey!

Good thread. :)

Coop

Mark, I stopped by your table at the Blade Show, you had a great line up of knives and handle material too. Pleasure to finally meet you and your wife, she is an asset, I can tell she is all in and supports your endeavor.

Coops images capture the essence of your work, the image ulu is fantastic.

Wow- what a variety! Soup to nuts, indeed. You are quite versatile.

I especially like that Ulu. Gotta add one of those to my "Someday" list.

another fan of the ulu here. It has a real elemental look to it. Timeless.
