This knife was one I actually got to see being made. MaxTheKnife was kind enough to let me visit his shop. While there I got a forging demonstration. We were short on time, and it was getting dark. This knife has a very primitive, but very functional look, in other words, it looks great!!! The really amazing thing is the story of how it was made. As I said, time was short. First off, Max has to fire up his forge. After doing that, he selected a piece of round steel, heated it and put the 'twist' in the handle. He then heated and hammered...heated and hammered until the blade was shaped. Total time from starting the forge to finished knife was about 30 - 35 minutes...with the last 15 minutes in darkness!!! It was very cool seeing how a knife is forged, and definately worth sharing.
