Front Flippers - Feist & Wakulla, changing the game!

Like the Fiest:thumbup:
Kinda of a cross between a swindle and ezc with a touch of thorburn:D
Cheers

Feist is going to be very popular.

Ultra slim and light (2.5 ounces) package with a blade length of 2.83" (0.11" thick) of S35VN, full titanium frame lock with steel insert and ceramic bearings flipper probably with a street price of around $180.

This has been done many times before. It's essentially no different from how Hinderer or Strider does their locks, it's just that in this case the stop pin travels into the handle as opposed to abutting the outside of it.

I didn't think of it in terms of the Hinderer stop pin/thumb lugs. Then, this is just the first time I've seen it done this way

Can we know what grind the Feist is please? Hoping for FFG rather than Hollow personally. If it is FFG my wallet doesn't stand a chance! :D

With the smooth curve of the grind line on the blade it looks like hollow.

I am excited for a chance to get a front flipper. I wanted a Gareth Bull but haven't sprung for one yet. Apparently these front flippers are all the rage in South African knife making circles.

I handled the Boker Excalibur at my knife shop but was not impressed with the flipping action.

Looking at videos of it, the grind looks flat to me. Or a really, really subtle hollow.

Yeah I'm thinking it's just the curve as the blade enters the grind which gives the impression of a hollow. After that it looks flat. Here's to hoping!

I would also like to know if the Feist comes with a Ti pocket clip, or a pocket clip at all?

Blade grind hollow. Aaaaaargh! :(

Oh well, saved me some money.

Please note that my loathing for hollow grind is personal and not intended to annoy anyone.

BladeHQ is often wrong about blade grinds (they're not the only retailer who is, in their defense), visually it doesn't look at all like a hollow grind to me in photos or videos.

Would be nice if Kizer would confirm either way here.
