Drew; I like your knife.... a good grind with a little rough left for sport.

Rawhide sure looks a lot better than kydex! And that one is pretty no matter what the
other e-mails say.

Thanks Diamond J but I have received a couple of e-mails telling me how ugly the sheath is. (My wife likes it) :D:

Honestly I'm not familiar with rawhide scabbards, I think this is the first I've seen actually. But I like that its different, uncommon, and that you went out of "the box" perse and tried something new. Kudos:thumbup:

Nice Scabbard and knife too. I bet this would be excellent for butchering up your deer, elk or moose and could double as the Sunday roast carver.
Great 'package' for $160 ! Knife alone is worth that.

Nice butcher knife, Gerry! I like the rawhide scabbard minus the frills on the top.

Lots of character in that sheath. I'd call it a "Hudson's Bay" knife but it's a butcher knife however you look at it. Very nice!

Somebody into cowboy action shooting would love to have that outfit Gerry. Do a search for Cowboy Action Shooting and put it on one of those sites, bet it won't last long.

It looks like mixed revues on the scabbard. If anyone is interested in the knife but hates the scabbard I will make one similar to this.

I think the sheath fits that knife perfectly. It's a frontiersman skinner and that looks like a frontiersman sheath. They work perfectly together. I could see a mountain man wearing it and using that knife.

I like the frontier scabbard. The only change I might suggest is to keep the collar the same color as the body. The combo of knife + sheath is pretty darned cool. It looks like you could skin a whale with that knife, then split kindling for a fire to roast the meat with.
