I overnight soaked it in a glass with half hot water and half white vinegar. I used it for a year, but was always getting rust after a weekend of hiking. After the patina, no more rust.
Everytime I go hiking or hunting, I have a Mora with me. Sure, I bring my latest and greatest fixed blade "camp knife" I've acquired, but when it comes to actually cutting stuff, the edge geometry, thin blade, comfy handle, etc. of the Mora are hard to beat. I hate to say it, but I'd still be happy if all I had was a single Mora. I love collecting fixed blades and bringing them hiking, but I love using my Moras.
