Frozen ESEE-4

Yes very cool pix thanks for posting them. This reminds me that this year I have to stop buying gear, reading about adventures on the net, and auctually get outside and use what I have. Thanks for the motivation!

BTW-Not to hijack the thread but I'm looking at purchasing a digital camera to use for my own outdoor adventures. What camera are you using and how does it hold up during these severe conditions (water, cold, etc)? Thanks!

This photo made me nervous. The first thought that came to mind was the sound "plunk" and then a long string of expletives.

I never take a knife out on the water without a wrist thong. I would hate to have to dive in that water to retrieve my ESEE 4.

Great photos by the way.

Beautiful Pics!! I have been on a kayak once and loved it! I would love to take a trip like this one day! You sir, are a beast!

WOW! i get shocked, TWICE, in the same thread. (1) kayaking in THAT weather? i spent 10 years in AK and you won't catch me on the water even in FLORIDA winter. (2) there are people who've never been on a kayak? that's equally nuts.

Beautiful pictures. ESEEs sure are tough knives. Your 4 was out in that cold weather and didn't even shiver! :D

I haven't been on the forums in a few days, since I've been moving, but I see a few of you liked the pics!

The last two years I have gotten outside more than at any point in my life. No matter what is going on in my world, I make the time to get outdoors and experience nature. I've got a few places locally that I love to get out and explore, and it's great to watch them change with time...

The camera I'm using is a Casio EX-G1. It's shock and water resistant, takes 12 Megapixel photos, and takes decent youtube videos. I haven't owned it that long, but as you can tell, I've taken it to some fairly extreme environments and it's held up just fine... I'd recommend it to anyone, and at $180 on sales, it was a steal as well.

Thanks,

JGON
