Frustrated with convex edge

ok I went to using one mouse pad, went all the way back to 150 grit and still can't get it shaving sharp...It looks really sharp, it looks like a normal convex edge. I have noticed that there is a small nick in the edge and it is taking FOREVER to remove... when I started this it was visable with the naked eye, now I can only feel it with my fingernail but it's still there. Is my botched convex edge fixable? should I just start all over?

I should probably not be posting this given that I've never convexed an edge using the technique described here. So take my advice with a grain of salt or two or three and perhaps a shot of tequila, but I would say you are convexing everything but the very edge. Perhaps lift the spine up just a tad and use less pressure.
