Steve Dunn, M.S. large trapper-style folding knife. A while back, Steve (and Harvey Dean, M.S.), spent some time with Bill Ruple, to learn how to make slip-joint folders from the master. One of the results is this outstanding folder. The materials, workmanship, and fit and finish are second to none.

I am the original owner. It has never been used, carried or re-sharpened. It is in the same new condition as when I originally acquired it from Steve a couple of years ago. It has been stored in the leather slip case pictured (and included with the knife), in my safe. I am not certain what steel he used for the blade, but it is not forged. The handle is made with two (2) nicely textured slabs of stag. Steve had done all the engraving around the backstrap, as well as the tastefully done engraving on the bolsters. He is an engraving instructor at GRS Engraving in Emporia, KS.

The knife measures 7 1/4" in overall length, and the blade is 3 1/4" long. The nail nick pull is taught, but not too tight. The blade locks up in the open position with no blade play in any direction. And the blade is centered in the liners when closed. There is a half-stop, and the blade closes with a resounding snap. This knife is the epitome of great "walk-and-talk", and is extremely sharp.

Matthew Lerch handmade tactical folding knife. This is an early model. Today Matt makes high end folders that sell for thousands of dollars. This is a manual knife.

This knife is approximately 8" in OAL. The blade is 3 1/2" long. The blade is stainless steel Damascus, and I believe the handle is G10 with grooves running down either scale. Also notice the alternating notches cut in the liners on both the top and bottom sides of the knife - a nice touch that give the knife a great look. It is light and quick in your hand.
This is a great feeling knife in-hand, and the action is smooth. Lock up is solid - no blade play in any direction. The blade is nicely centered between the handle when closed.
I am the original owner of this knife. I intended to put it in my carry rotation, but never got around to doing anything with it, except handle it. It has not been used, and it has not been re-sharpened. It is in as-new condition, from the maker.

Keith Coleman handmade tactical folding knife. Not sure what model he called this one. I don't believe that Keith is currently making knives, so what's out in the secondary market is about it.

This knife is approximately 9" in OAL. The blade is 4" long. It is marked Keith Coleman Los Lunas, NM. I don't know the blade steel is. The handle is smooth micarta. Keith has done a nice job dovetailing the bolsters, as you can see in a couple of the pictures.

This is a beefy handled knife, and the action is smooth. Lock up is good, with only the slightest evidence of movement (if you don't open the blade firmly). I'm a stickler about fit and finish, and this movement is barely perceptible. The blade is nicely centered between the handle when closed. Serrated thumb ramp ensures a secure grip.
I am the second owner of this knife. The former original owner carried it a couple of times, as is evidenced by the rubs (not scratches) that you see on the upper portion of the bolster on the clip side. It has not been used, and it has not been re-sharpened. A nice tactical EDC knife, shipped in a padded zippered pouch.

Asking $415 Postal Money Order or $425 PayPal.

Morris C. Pulliam (Shelbyville, KY) slip joint folding knife. I recently learned from one of his relatives that he passed away in May 25, 2011, and his extensive collection of guns and knives were auctioned off.

I cannot recall the blade steel. The handle - if I recall correctly - is cocobola (or some other stablized dark hardwood). I believe the front bolster and pins are nickel silver. The blade measures 3 1/4" long, and the overall length is just shy of 8" long.

I am not the original owner. It appears to have been carried and / or handled by the previous owner. It does not appear to have been sharpened. It is in very good condition. There are some fine lines on the blade, which may be visible in the pictures - nothing that can be felt as you pass your fingernail over them. They are all very fine surface marks - nothing deep. The wood handle is free of any marks.

It has been safely stored in my safe in a lined, zippered pouch (included with the knife). It is well-made. It opens smoothly, locks up tight in the half and open positions with no blade play or wobble, and the blade is aligned close to center in the handle when closed. The nail nick pull is towards the front of the blade. It has a decent pull to it, and it closes with a resoundingly loud "snap". The blade is marked "Pulliam" and the number "7" on one side, and the number "81" on the other. I believe the 7 was a model number, and the 81 was the year it was made.

David Broadwell fixed blade tactical knife, model LDC-F-2. These were made specifically for Les Robertson at Robertson Custom Cutlery several years ago. This was a project that involved a number of very well-known knife makers, who made both fixed blade and folding knives for the LDC series. They all sold out fast, and do not come up for sale very often these days.

This is serial #40 of 50. These days, David Broadwell makes high-end art knives and pens. This is the perfect everyday carry (EDC) knife - it's lightweight, has a narrow profile, and comes with a kydex sheath that can be mounted in a couple of different positions.

It measures 8 1/2" in overall length, the blade is approximately 4" long, and the top edge is sharpened about 2 1/2" back from the tip. There are upper and lower notches for forefinger and thumb placement.

I am the original owner of this knife. It has never been used, sharpened or carried. It is in as-new condition.

Peter Marzitelli tactical folding knife. I am the original owner. I have had it in my collection for about 5 or so years. I do not recall what model he called this one. However, this is a lot of knife for the money. His "Marz" knives are world renowned for their artistry, craftsmanship, attention to detail and uniqueness. This knife is a perfect example of his work.

The knife is in virtually mint condition. It has never been used, carried or sharpened. The overall length is 7 3/4", and the blade is 3 1/4" long. This is a rather unique framelock folder, as the lockbar side also has a bolster and scale just like the opposite side - so both sides match. This knife locks up strong and tight as a vault with a resounding click. There is absolutely no blade play in any direction, and the blade is perfectly centered in the handle when closed.

The blade is Stainless Damascus, as is the pocket clip. The bolsters are carbon fiber. If I recall correctly the exotic wood used for the handle scales is Cocobolo. Engraved in the wood is Peter's signature maker's mark "pterodactyl". There is also an ambidextrous thumbstud and textured thumb ramp. There's a huge amount of work and materials that has gone into making this knife. This knife feels very substantial in-hand.

Peter Marzitelli tactical folding knife. Not sure what model he called this one, but I know that it came from his G.U.T.S. series of tactical knives. This one is all camo - both the handle and the blade has a camo finish. His signature pterodactyl is on the blade. I don't believe that Peter is currently making the G.U.T.S. line of knives any longer.

This knife is approximately 8 1/2" in OAL. The blade is 3 1/2" long. I don't know the blade steel, and I believe the handle is micarta.

This is a great feeling knife in-hand, and the action is smooth. Lock up is solid - no blade play in any direction. The blade is nicely centered between the handle when closed.
