Greetings all,

First and foremost, this car is not running and won't start. It has been parked in my parents back yard for a year or so and I need to get rid of it and I am tired of dealing with trying to coordinate with people to meet at my parents to look at it. If nobody wants it I am going to donate it to one of the local charities this weekend. The car is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This car has to be off my parents property by next tuesday afternoon at the latest.

The details: 1991 Chevy Corsica, white 4-door with blue interior, minor/moderate damage to the rear bumper and mounts. Roughly 140K miles on it if I remember correctly. 2.something liter 4-cylinder with automatic, a/c, power locks and windows. Then interior is in good condition, but the paint has started to flake in the grooves on the sidepanels and a few other spots. The engine has a rebuilt head on it that has a minor oil leak. The heater core has a leak and the hoses have been bypassed. The A/C was working last time that I drove the car. No plates on it and no inspection sticker.

The reason that I set it up was that it quit starting reliably. When it did start it would run fine and I drove it for about 30 minutes around town the last time. The computer never showed any codes, the starter tested ok, we tried changing the fuel filter, sparkplug wires, all the usual suspects. It could be the ignition module is bad, it could be that the computer is bad, could be something else. Neither of these are particularly expensive parts, but I just got tired of messing with it when I had a new(er) truck that I was driving and a 1970 Ford Maverick (my car from my junior and senior years in hi-school) that I wanted to restore.

Sold as is, no warranties, it does not work, you might be able to fix it or you might not. Accoring to the blue book, if it was running and solid it could go for anywhere $1025 to $2150. This one is a fixit project at best, so I would like $250 and you come haul it off.

I would consider trades for firearms, but no knives/flashlights/gear.

Thanks,
Danny
