It breaks my heart to be doing this, but I don't think the SHBM is meant for me without handle modifications. At this point, I don't want to modify such a classic Busse design, so I will let this mistress slip from my hands and into those of another INFIaddict. I'll wait and see how the NMLBSHBM ends up working out for me and hopefully I won't end up regretting this decision...no sense in keeping this if I can't use it to its fullest potential
It is between .27-.28" thick according to a crappy micrometer I used, full flat grind w/ asymmetrical edge. Edge has no major damage, but there is a 1-1.5" section towards the front that is the slightest bit rough from slicing through the smallest sliver of concrete yesterday...literally small and shallow enough to be fixed with a simple stropping session or with just 1-2 passes with a rod. It's too small and subtle to clearly capture with my camera, so that should give you an idea as to how miniscule the damage is, but full disclosure is how I like to work my sales...
Includes original kydex sheath w/ leg strap.
This beautifully balanced knife is in excellent condition and would make an awesome all-around user or addition to anyone's collection.
I am asking what I paid for this fine knife just last week: $850 shipped
2) The other item for sale is my SFNO LE #181/300 with ridiculous convex edge applied by Ban. This knife is in 95% excellent/new condition. I bought it in new condition a couple months ago. It has been lightly used, but wood is the hardest material this INFI has come into contact with, so as you can imagine it is still in near new condition and ready for a life of use, although she certainly is pretty enough to put into a safe. There are some light scratches on the blade from use, but nothing major at all.
I am in no rush at all to sell this knife at all so I'm going to start it at $600 shipped obo and see where things go from there... I may be foolish to think that the Banned edge ads to the value, but seeing how this blade performs, I am willing to take that risk
Here is a pic of both of these beauties after some play time yesterday, before I cleaned them up. I'll try to get a couple more pics up tonight if anyone needs them:
