For sale are three Murray Carter knives that I purchased over the past year or two that I'd like to sell to fund a budding interest in mechanical clock repair. They are:

  • Premium Journeyman Smith Bowie Fighter (~9 7/16" blade length, 14 7/8" OAL) with right-handed leather sheath, $370 $350 shipped
  • ***SOLD*** Muteki Large Hunter (~9 1/4" blade length, 15 1/16" OAL) with right-handed leather sheath, $315 $295 shipped
  • ***SOLD*** Muteki Alaskan Skinner (~4" blade length, 8 5/16" OAL) with right-handed leather sheath and kydex sheath (no clip), $270 $250 shipped

The Alaskan Skinner was purchased from the original owner on another knife forum. The Large Hunter and Bower Fighter were purchased off eBay.

I got the history of the Journeyman Smith Bowie Fighter from Murray as I noticed it had a "JS" stamped into it. Murray forged it while he was a Journeyman Smith of the American Bladesmith Society working towards being recognized as a Master Smith. Unfortunately, the top of the handle has a crack in it, but it appears to just be cosmetic. Photos are included below.

PayPal is my preferred method of payment, but a USPS Money Order is fine too. Prices include shipping by USPS Priority Mail. Sorry, but US buyers only please. Please feel free to contact me here via PM or the email linked to my account.

I have 100% positive feedback on the Flipping Arena (DannyBoy2k), RCGroups (Ninjak2k), Ebay (Ninjak2k), and JerzeeDevil (DannyBoy2k).

Cheers,
Dan

Price drop.

In answer to PM questions, none of these knives are still 'Carter sharp'. None have any visible rolls or nicks. The Large Hunter and Bowie Fighter will still cut newsprint for most of their edge, but have a few dull spots. The Alaskan skinner is pretty dull, but should sharpen up easily as all Carter knives do.

"Journeyman Smith" not Junior Smith. Good luck with the sale! These are some nice knives.
