I'm selling an axe made by Wetterlings. The head is 5 1/2" long and the blade is 3 1/4". The handle is 14" and marked Master Scout Axe. It is in great condition. The other axe is a Sargent broad head axe listed as a bench axe in their 1911 catalog. It is also known as a hewing axe. The head is 6 1/2" long and the blade is 5". The handle is 15" long and has a few old brass nails instead of a wedge anchoring it to the head. The head weighs 2 3/4 lbs. and is marked Sargent VBM. This is a great axe for roughing out a stave for a self bow. It also cuts and chops very well with the chisel grind. The Trade Axe is hand forged and it is designed after the Hudson Bay Company Trade Axe. The blade is 5 1/4" long and the blade is 3". The handle is 15" long. It is forged in the USA.
