I have for sale a WEIDMANNSHEIL RARE VINTAGE WEST GERMAN LEVERLOCK. This one was certainly made before the 1990 (possibly earlier) fall of the Berlin wall and by the original company. The knife is 4 3/8” closed and 8” open. The bolsters and caps are nickel silver with the caps deeply stamped "JAGD KONIG" which means KING OF THE HUNT. The mirror polished spear point blade is etched WILH WELTERSBACH / SOLINGEN - WEST GERMANY / ROSTFREI along with WEIDMANNSHEIL in an arch over the company logo of a stag. The liners are brass. The covers are stag. The lever-release design for this knife was patented by Wilhelm Weltersbach in 1882: (pivot pin and two sear holes, blade stop pin, lever, sear pin, and sear spring.) In these manual lever-release designs, the lever is used to release the blade in the open and closed position. This design became very popular and was produced in a variety of knife models. It is also the basic design (with some modifications) for the enormously popular Leverlock knife that is still produced by the German company Hubertus.

This one is like new fires hard and locks up solid, has not been carried or sharpened, only fired from time to time and always stored open to reduce stress on the spring.

Know your local laws related to owning autos. Will ship this by PRIORITY MAIL to U.S. addresses only. Asking price is $155 with shipping included. First I’ll take it followed by PM or e-mail.
