Hello today I did something stupid with one of my favorite knives. I pried at a log and the top 1/2-1" snapped off of the tip. I'm not skilled enough to do anything to fix it so thought maybe someone here would be interested in it for a project knife.

It is a David Farmer Camp Knife made out of L7 steel. It was about 6 inches. Comes with leather dangle sheath. $40 shipped or best offer. Would trade towards a Becker BK9.

If I were you, I would call the knifemaker. He made this knife, so if someone is specially skilled to regrind or fix that, that's him! I had a similar problem with my best skinner whose blade I had badly hurt. I explained my problem to the knifemaker (Gilles Victors): he was really comprehensive, and he saved my knife, modifying the blade shape according to the original style of the knife. No one else could have done that better than he did. Now the knife still cuts like a razor, and the regrind was achieved without destroying the original beautiful design.
