It was recently sent to Kit to find out when it was made and he told me as near as he could figure it was made around 1990. This large Model 4 features a ceramic bead blast blade, titanium bolsters, and black micarta scales. The bolsters and scales have a fine orange peel finish. Stainless steel clip. Notched thumb ramp. Smooth action with a nice detent. Perfect blade seating and lockup. Excellent fit and finish. There are some light scratches on the clip.
