Never been used or carried. For anyone that likes a smaller knife, I'm not sure anyone compares to Chad's work. The craftsmanship is exceptional & Nell knives are a hidden gem.
"The Midge is your prototypical everyday folding knife with a little Chad Nell twist thrown in for good measure. It's compact, precise, and definitely beautiful - plus it does not lock so just about anybody can carry it just about anywhere. It features a detent lock... i.e. a slipjoint with two detent balls providing the tension to keep the blade open in lieu of a backspring. This allows the blade to be flipped open and closed, like the Isham Blackstar V2, making it extremely fun to play with. We had the best results using our index finger like a regular flipper on the back half of the jimping compared to using our thumb right on the top - that didn't go quite as well.
