-Chris Reeve Large MICARTA Insingo Sebenza: I hate to sell this one a lot. It's definitely one of my most prized knives but it just doesn't get much carry and never any real use because it's so nice. It has a small amount of wear from carry that you should be able to see in the pics. Mostly the only real wear to speak of is a couple of minor scratches on the pocket clip. It has been carried a handful of times and very seldom has it been used. The blade shows no wear but it has been sharpened one time just to give it a much sharper edge and a great mirror polish on my Wicked Edge (for aesthetic reasons) and hasn't been used with the new edge, which removed very little steel as always. The knife could look brand new if sent to CRK but it shows such little wear that I don't think it's worth it. Very good looking knife that is just so perfect! I hate to lose it. This one also has earlier lockup than most Sebenza's. Just a great knife.$400
-Peter Rassenti (aka Peter R.) Keystone Flipper: I am the second owner of this outstanding knife. I purchased it new in box from someone who was lucky enough to pick it up from this passed Blade Show (when I saw Peter R. at G3 several months ago, I couldn't get one of his knives because he sold out within 15 minutes of doors opening) and I carried it a handful of times carefully. Has not been used. As you can see, it's the same knife that sold on TrueNorthKnives for $850, only this one has a stonewashed blade http://www.truenorthknives.com/vcom/product_info.php?cPath=345_508&products_id=3909 The bead blasted/sand blasted liners and pocket clipped have some light scratching. Not real scratching, but the kind that always happens to sand blasted titanium whether you're careful or not. Again, it has not been used but has been carried a handful of times and somehow the bead blasted areas got lightly scratched. I'm not sure how much of this was from carry (since I carried it just around the house in it's own jean pocket) since it always had a slightly rough or almost "aged Ti" look to the bead blast. Almost as if it had the slightest stonewash on top of the Ti. Hard to explain but I don't think it had a perfect Chris Reeve style bead blasting to begin with. The faint scratches are more the type that show up in the right lighting but I tried to photograph examples of this. It could easily be re-blasted if desired. I imagine Peter R. might be willing to do it himself. Anyway, this knife is outstanding and light with THE BEST flipping action I've ever felt, bar none. I know you hear that all the time but this knife has to be felt to understand. The original owner said the same thing and I had no idea how smooth and fast the flipping would be. I have or have owned a TILT, Spyderco Southard Flipper, Shirogorov Hati 95, John Grimsmo Norseman, and other custom flippers, all of which are stand-out flippers, but none come close to this. It has something to do with the weight of the blade, the placement of the flipper, and just the smoothest bearing system I've ever felt with perfect tolerances. The lockup on this knife is also perfect with zero stick and it has to be one of the most solid feeling knives I've come across. One of the few knives I've owned that truly, honestly feels like a fixed blade when open. It's very, very comfortable and ergonomic and light for it's size. Like most of my knives, I have sharpened it ONCE on the Wicked Edge system only to give it a mirror polished edge for aesthetic reasons, especially as the original edge was a little rough and not nearly as sharp. Little steel was removed, it was more of a smoothing out of the bevel and polishing, which looks great. Such a cool knife that I hate to part ways with. The machining and overall feel and build is outstanding. Peter Rassenti knives have a really cool feel of perfect craftsmanship mixed with more rugged and handmade/hand-finished elements. Starting at $500 shipped, which I think is pretty decent considering it's fully custom and hard to get, and an almost identical one can be seen on TNK's website for $850.
-Spyderco Tuff: This is a great knife that has been smoothed out. I would bet this is the smoothest and easiest to open Tuff in the world! As you may know, the short lockbar adds tension and makes them hard to open but this one has been smoothed out and is much, much smoother than most. Really high quality and strong knife that was a perfect specimen and still is except for somehow when cutting a few plastic zip ties once, a couple of hairline scratches appeared on the blade. They are very hard to find, but they're there. A few times I thought they were gone because you have to hold the knife at the perfect angle to the light to see them and they can be hard to find. Very, very minor blemish to an otherwise perfectly as new looking knife with a mirror polished edge. The only thing I ever cut with it was those zip ties and it was not a carry knife. I used my Wicked Edge to put a great mirror polish on the edge and an insanely sharp edge. It has not been used since the new edge was applied and was only sharpened once. And again, it was only used to cut a few zip ties before that. Includes box. SOLD
