To answer some questions:

The karambit is an early "pre-production hand ground" version.

I am told that the blade was hand ground ground Mr. Emerson, and dropped into a normal production chassis. Hence the satin finish and serial number... it is, for all intents and purposes, a midtech/semi-custom.
