Folks, got my eye on something else and need to thin the herd... You know how these crazy expensive hobbies go sometimes...
Price is listed for each otherwise buy both for $700.
First, the custom from Hiroaki Ohta.
Outstanding Ohta brown jigged bone on this one. Carried twice but like new condition.
Blade length: 2.5" OAL: 6" Blade steel is ATS-34 with half stop. I am selling for $300.
(Strop was just a photo-prop... blade has NOT been sharpened or used.)
Second, a Joel Chamblin whittler.... *sigh* Man I hate to see this one go...
I commissioned this knife back in 2011 and wore it infrequently amongst many, BUT stupidly dropped the knife directly on the edge of the bolster (see picture of bolster's edge -- you may have to squint -- ding is about 1.5mm). So… if you're a safe queen collector this probably isn't your knife, but if you're an EDC guy then this is a great opportunity to own an otherwise near mint knife at half price from the maker. OAL closed in 3.5" If you are familiar with Queen's #48 it's nearly identical in size.
Blades are all CPM-154 with long pulls all the way around and have never been sharpened. Coping and pen blades have half stop whereas the main blade does not. Aside from the small blemish on the bolster, fit and finish is otherwise superb as would be expected from Mr. Chamblin. No blade play and buttery smooth pulls. I am asking $500 OBRO.
I accept paypal and can be reached here via PM or via email at sierra11b (at) gmail (dot) com for more pictures.
Thank you,
-Eric S.
