For sale is a beautiful hunting knife made by true Master Knifemaker D’Alton Holder. He is in the Knifemakers Hall of Fame, and has been recognized as an artistic craftsman par excellence for quite a few decades. His designs and use of exotic materials and engraving has influenced many makers. I’ve had it in my collection for many years. I’ve admired it many times but never carried or used it.
The blade is ATS 34 stainless steel at Rc 61 hardness. The guard is nickel silver with a handle of green maple burl, African blackwood spacers, and yellow amber inset. A very nice combination. The handle allows for a very comfortable grip, and the knife is light in weight. The blade has a high mirror polish, and has some nice decorative file work on the spine. It comes with D’s iconic leather sheath.
I’m asking $700 shipped in the USA with PayPal fees paid by me. Mr. D’Holder’s books are closed so this is a good opportunity to get one of his originals at a fair price. Please PM or email me if you are interested.
