I bought this in Feb 2008 and have used it sparingly. I have paid particular attention to preserving the stones (always started with a coarse stone so as not to wear out the finer ones). None of the stones have been resurfaced as they do not need it yet. The kit I bought does not exist anymore, although at the time it was the most comprehensive of the options. I paid $200 for the package. I would like to get $140 shipped to you via USPS.
I also use Japanese whet stones to sharped edged things and have found that the EdgePro system is the easiest way to get very high end results. While I am pretty decent at a whet stone, the EdgePro allows me to get a more consistent edge that also looks better. The polishing tapes will put a mirror finish onto your blade that is often brighter than the flats or hollow grinds. I can not say enough about this system and how it helps me create truly professional looking edges. I am selling because I went for the Professional system with a scissor attachment.
