I picked up the Emerson about a year ago and have used it maybe 5 times. I have opened some letters with it, but that's all. Based on the recommendation of people on this forum, I took it apart when I got it and lubricated everything, and it is butter smooth now. It almost feels like it is hydraulic when you open the blade. Very cool knife, I just don't have a use for it. $160 shipped.
As for the Benchmade, I had always wanted a Presidio 525, so I found this one brand new and picked it up. However I used it twice to open letters and then put it away and forgot about it. No reason for me to keep it if I'm not using it in my rotation. I love the aluminum handle and the blade is super sharp. Great size too as the blade is under 3". This is really the first of the first, as it is #5 of 1,000. $125 shipped.
