Frank was a pioneer in the custom knife business. He was in the knife making business forty years. He was also one of the presidents of the American Knifemakers Guild.
Frank won many awards including, Red Watson Award presented by the Knifemakers Guild, Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame, Beretta Award. He co-authored the book How To Make Folding Knives along with knifemakers RonLake and Wayne Clay.
Frank Centofante was born in 1936 and passed away September 2009 in Madisonville, Tennessee. His knives live on.
