I have the following for sale. Please read the descriptions VERY CAREFULLY before posting "I'll take it". All are now sold.
Tidioute 38 John Chapman in Dusk Jig Bone (383215). I am the original owner and the blades have been lightly sharpened on a Sharpmaker. The knife was used for some light gardening and there is some patina on both blades (more on the main blade). The pruning blade has about a 5.5 pull and the spey blade has about 4.5 pull. There is no discernable blade play in either blade. Both blades have good W&T with nice snap. The joints have been flushed with mineral oil. This knife would make a great user. Comes with tube and paper.
Price - $59.00 (SOLD)
Tidioute 74 Stallion in Spring Green Jig Bone (748117 - Store Model - "S" stamped on tang of blade). This was purchased from a GEC distributor. It has not been carried and was only used to test cut paper. The blade has the original, sharp factory edge. The pull is around 6.5. The blade has outstanding W&T with excellent snap and there is no discernable blade play. The joint has been flushed with mineral oil.
There is a small crack near the bottom scale pin on the pile side (the reason for being a Store Model). It was epoxied by GEC prior to shipping to the distributor. The repair was well done and the very tiny crack is stable. However, the repair is noticeable up close and this one should be considered a user. Comes with paper and tube.
Price - $69.00 (SOLD)
American Whittler SFO 13 Split Back Whittler in Deep Chestnut Jig Bone (133317). This was purchased from a fellow forum member who stated it was LNIT. It has not been carried and was only used to test cut paper. The blades have the original, sharp factory edges. There are some slight rub marks on one side of the sheepsfoot main and on one side of one of the pen blades. The pull on the sheepsfoot main is about a 5.5 and the pulls on the pen blades are around a 5. All blades have good W&T with excellent snap and there is no discernable side play in any of the blades. The joints have been flushed with mineral oil.
There is some slight blade rapping in one spot on both pen blades. This should sharpen out fairly easily. There is also a pin tip sized dent on one bolster that can't be easily seen with the naked eye but can be slightly felt when you run your finger over the area. This one should be considered a user. Comes with paper, pin and tube.
Price - $89.00 (SOLD)
Tidioute 77 Yankee Jack in Pine Green Jig Bone (772215). This was purchased from a GEC distributor. It has not been carried and was only used to test cut paper. The blades have the original, sharp factory edges. There is a very slight, very small scratch on the pile side of the main blade. The pull on the main blade is about a 6 to 7 and the pull on the pen blade is around a 5 to 6. Both blades have great W&T with excellent snap and there is no discernable side play in either blade. The joints have been flushed with mineral oil. Comes with paper, pin and tube.
Price - $89.00 (SOLD)
