I have the following for sale.
Please read the description carefully before offering to buy the knife.
GEC 71 in Natural Canvas Micarta (715117 - CK SFO). This one was recently purchased from a fellow forum member who stated it was LNIT. He had installed a paracord lanyard which I removed. It has not been carried or used for cutting but it has been handled to inspect it and test cut paper. It has good W & T with a pull of around 7 to 8. Centering slightly favors the pile side (see pic below) and there is no side play in the blade. There is a very small area where the blade has rapped the back spring on closing but this should go away after a good sharpening (it's very small and this is not uncommon on 71s). There is a slight gap between the blade tang end and spring when the blade is open (see pic below). The tang end was ground at a slight angle but does make contact with the spring. The knife snaps open was authority and is rock solid - this slight gap does not effect function and is simply aesthetic to my eye. Blade has very minor scuffs from the factory or handling on and near spine. The knife has been given a light application of mineral oil and the joint has been flushed with the same oil. Comes with tube and paper.
Price - $45.00. SOLD
The first "I'll take it" followed up by rapid payment (within 30 minutes) will get the knife. I am not interested in trades at this time. Payment through PayPal, I'll cover the fees and shipping (USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box) to CONUS addresses only. I will not ship to NYC addresses. Must be at least 18 years old and in compliance with all state and local laws to purchase this knife. I reserve the right to sell to whoever I would like.
Please PM me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
