Have a couple catch-n-releases for sale. I purchased two each of the following knives. My thought was to give one of each to my son, but upon receiving yesterday, they are obviously too big for his small hands. They are both interesting enough for me to keep one of each, but the other two need to go. Plus I was informed that he would rather I give him money for StarWars Lego's, and stop buying him knives for a while.
Ya, right. Like that's going to happen.
Anyway....here they are.
Buyer acknowledges that they are over 18 years old, legal to purchase and own the knives in question, and will abide by all local/regional laws for knife ownership, carry, and transportation. Shipping to US destinations only via USPS priority after funds are verified. Payment by USPS Money Order (preferred), or PayPal Goods (Verified Account & Address Only). Based on account age and forum participation, I may require the USPS MO.
An "I'll Take It" followed by a timely PM or Email to communicate payment info. I reserve the right to sell to (or not sell to) anyone. Not looking for trades unless it's something that excites my son. Otherwise just want to recoup some cash to buy Lego's. (silly me). Picture props (playing cards, silver bullion, etc) are not included.
Both new in box, as received from dealer, picked up from the porch yesterday. Only opened and flipped to take pics.
1: Kirby Lambert Snap (Manual), by HTM, (msrp $285) Asking $old
2: Mantis Snaggletooth 3, (msrp $136) Asking $60 Delivered
#1: HTM Kirby Lambert Snap (Sold)
The Kirby Lambert Snap has a great flipping action and feel. And really does have a very distinct "Snap" sound when flipped and locked into place. Blade is stonewashed 154CM, and rides on ball bearings around pivot. Great action, perfectly centered blade, and unlike my first HTM actually sharp out of the box. Looking past the fact that it looks like a grenade, the grip is very comfortable. A bit fat for every day carry for me, but great for a real user. The lockup looks to be around 55%, with just a bit of lock stick. I took care of that on my other HTM with a little dry graphite. Would be happy to lube or graphite if the buyer wants it. Otherwise it will come just as it came to me from dealer.
Closed: 4.5"
Blade: 3.5" Stonewashed 154CM
Handle: 3D Milled, Mil Spec hard coated Aluminum, Shark Grey
Action: Flipper with Maxx Glide Pivot Bearing System
Lock: Liner lock @ about 55%
Clip: One position, tip up.
Includes: Box, paper from HTM, and very nice padded zipper case
This pic is not the actual one being sold, but my first Snap purchase after sharpening. Just showing size in hand.
#2: Snaggletooth 3
The Snaggletooth I really just bought as a novelty, but I really mis judged the size from the pics. That's why I added a pic in my hand. I'm still keeping one for my myself, but it just looked like a monster in my son's hand. Almost comical...."Dad, what am I supposed to do with this!?" The blade has an extended tang like a flipper, but out of the box either needs to be thumbed, or flipped with a good wrist flick. I haven't had time to adjust the pivot and oil, but I'm sure it can be set to a smooth flipper if wanted. Will be playing with mine over the weekend. The karambit style finger loop can be exposed or recessed. It is spring loaded and opens to lock with a button press.
Closed: Approx 5-5/8"
Opened: 7-3/4"
Blade: 2" M-vX Steel, bead blast finish
Handle: G10 slabs on steel frame
Locks: Liner lock on blade, button lock on finger ring.
Clip: Two position tip up.
Includes: Box with foam insert.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
