This is a handmade custom folder by renowned Jim Hammond.
It is his Cobra Gold II folder in military version.
The 3 1/4" blade is double ground clip point with thumb disc opener.
It is designed for three purposes:
1. Combat/Fighting, with the handle especially shaped to maximize effective use;
2. Survival, with the blade serving as a compact game dressing tool; and,
3. Cockpit Canopy escape, in the event of an emergency requiring a pilot to escape in a forced landing.
The micarta handle scales are contoured for maximum comfort and control with both a palm and pommel swell.
The handles have titanium liners and a copper beryllium lock bar.
Action is silky smooth - it opens with a flick - and locks up like a vault!
This is a hard to find folder that is of the highest possible quality.
Makers table price on this knife is $750 and is rarely made these days.
