Please read the entire text. I've done my best to provide some useful information.

Up for sale is a mint condition Joe Caswell EDX Flipper. There appear to be a couple smudges or dust in some of the pics but those have been wiped away. The finish on the handle is original to the knife and speaks to the rugged look and appeal. No nicks or dings... Nice and smooooooth!

I absolutely love this amazing knife but another one calls out to me so this must go... A familiar story. ;-)

I've included a bunch of pics and a detailed-video to enjoy.

This is one of the most innovative knives I've ever had the pleasure of operating. There are many videos explaining the intricacies of the Caswell EDX. I invite you to look for them on Youtube.

The beautiful shape of this knife harkens back to the industrial age. The simple shape of the handle makes this an easy knife to put your hand around. No groves and ramps to get in the way of a solid grip. You will immediatly feel the strength of this knife in your palm. The top of the handle allows for added stability by keeping the index finger locked in place.

Modest jimping on the spine of the blade means no aggressive indentations on the thumb.

This knife has a brilliant system by which the activation of the blade works in tandem with the hiding of the pocket clip. A thing of beauty to behold.

The release of the locking-blade mechanism is like none I've ever seen.

The user inserts the thumb-tip (on the side of the handle) and presses down towards the back of the knife (in the arrow direction) to release the lock, while moving the blade-spine (into closed-position) with the index finger.

I was able to master this function within minutes of receiving the knife. One must be very careful in performing this procedure, but it is easy to master with proper research and training.

The pocket clip is a joy to use. Some folks out there will be cautious of the tip-down clip but I assure you it is absolutely masterful and right-at-home with a pair of jeans or khakis. The best part is, when the blade come out, the clip vanishes!!! Too cool for words!

This flipping action is quite remarkable. This is the only thumb-stud I own and one of the best flippers in my collection. The thumb-stud itself is quite large and easy to maneuver. The blade-assist is almost effortless and makes the action a breeze for the user. All the knife asks of you is to get the motion going... The knife will do the rest.

As you can see... This is a dual thumb-stud blade. With the location of the pocket clip on the spine of the handle, this is a true ambidextrous knife!!!

The pivot tool along with your own hex key makes blade positioning easy. You won't have to send it back to Caswell or your local knife-maker for adjustments. You can do yourself without any worries. Joe has made this knife for a collector who values the do-it-yourself mentality but may not have the technical expertise of a knife-maker. In other words... It's for the rest of us idiots! ;-)

The blade is razor sharp and goes through paper smoothly. No multi-grinds here, but I promise you won't miss them at all.

Every knife serves a purpose and the EDX was made for jobs that require strength and power. This blade has the force for heavy duty action while possessing a fine edge for detail! The best of both worlds if you ask me.

I will include the Caswell-provided sheath made of strong padded grey fabric and a velcro-enclosure to keep the knife safe and stable.

Lastly, I'm including the Caswell pivot tool to use adjust the blade centering and detent.

You will thoroughly amazed by this knife. It is so different from everything else out there that it needs to be experienced in person to fully appreciate.

Here are the details from the Caswell website:

Blade Size: 3.25 inches
Handle Size: 5 inches
OAL Open: 8.25 inches
Blade Thickness: .160 inches
Blade Steel: CPM154CM, Bos Heat Treat, 61 Rc.
Frame Construction: 6al-4v Titanium
Lock: U.S. Patent-Pending “In-Line” Integral Lock/Clip System
Pivot: U.S. Patent-Pending “Lockdown” Pivot System

The EDX features highly unique, extremely robust design and construction. It includes two radical, patent-pending technologies:
The “In-Line” Clip/Lock System is a high-performance lock with auto-retracting pocket clip function in one moving part. It’s a powerful, uncomplicated system designed for hard-use, hostile-environment applications.
The “Lockdown” Pivot System combines adjustability with structural-support capabilities. It allows blade adjustment like a standard pivot, but is tightened to perform as a rigid structural support (like a standoff). This results in unprecedented assembly rigidity by providing true support at the best possible place -- at the pivot point. This advantage enhances assembly performance and provides unique opportunities for the knife designer.
