I bought this knife because I really liked the blade shape. I just can't get used to the Speedsafe system when it isn't a flipper. I have never carried, cut or sharpened this knife. I don't have a regular Echelon to compare it to, so I have no idea what the BLEM is. The lock-up is good, and the blade is centered. I paid $45, and will sell for $40 shipped including PP fees.
