First off the Zing. Its a brand new sterile blade just back from Kershaw. The "marks" on the are shaving cream i missed (I shaved then took the pictures). It wiped off. there is no box.

Next is a Ganzo 710. I bought it as a beater knife. it is a good beater knife, but its too big for me to use with my beater clothes. Its just too heavy to pocket while working in the garden. I have a ZDP Delica that works the task much better. Most of the stuff on the blade is tape goo. There are super fine scratches on the blade all over it. There is also noticeable wear on the handle and a place where I rolled the edge on the belly, but I sharpened most of it out. If it was a more expensive knife i w2ould have worried about getting the rest out. It holds an edge well and hasn't rusted. It's 440c, so that's a step from 8cr IMO.
