Up for sale is my new Kiku Karambit Hawk. I am the original and only owner and it's been in my possession for less than a year. It has never been used or carried. I broke in the Kydex sheath by drawing the Karambit a number of times, but that's it.
The ergonomics are outstanding and it feels remarkably natural in the hand. The handle design and hand sculpted black G-10 pridie a very comfortable and secure grip. The jimping along the spine further ensures a rock solid grip. For those unpredictable emergencies the handle ends in a skull crusher/glass breaker.
The Kiku Knives Karambit Hawk pays homage to classic karambit elements. And this Japanese world-renowned master employed his favorite bladesteel, OU-31. This semi-stainless steel blade features a hollow grind with serration to assist with the hardest cuts. OU-31 is a Japanese PM (powdered metallurgical) steel with micro fine crystalline structure that embodies many of the best attributes needed for knives. The steel is hardened to 64 Hrc (very hard!) and has more than 3 times the toughness of D2.
