Here is a beautiful Jim Poling bowie. I bought this from Jim when he first registered on Bladeforums last year.
Here is what he wrote about the knife at the time:
"Bowie is forged from 5160 by 1/4" stock, the blade is 7.75" from point to hilt. The blade is 1.5" at its widest point. The hilt is shaped mild steel and the handle is 5" of striped Maple. The distal taper makes for a very light and fast blade. The overall length of the knife is 13". A hand sewn leather belt sheath is included with the knife."
Knife is in excellent shape and would make a great user. Original edge, never carried. Hand-rubbed satin blade. Only used to chop and stab some fruit and veggies to test the edge and balance. I rubbed some mink oil into the sheath, but overwise original condition.
Originally paid $230 (wow!).
