Mad Dog Pack Rat - one of the rarest of Kevin's knives. It is one of the most practically sized Mad Dog knives ever built: The blade is 4.5 inches long, 3/16 thick. It carries like a smaller blade but cuts like a larger knife. The blade is ground from Starrett 01 tool steel, flat ground drop point that is extremely sharp. The blade is differentially hardened to 58rc at the tip, 62rc on the main cutting edge and 54rc on the spine and tang.
The handle is made from a G10-like composite which is shaped in an amazingly ergonomic fashion, and it has excellent control, retention and protection in all three grip styles. The knife comes with a high ride belt sheath made of one piece of kydex. The Pack Rat model was never made in high numbers and is long discontinued. They are very hard to find. This knife is in unused condition, only taken out of the sheath a few times. Mad Dog is not currently making knives, and this may be the last chance to ever buy a Pack Rat.
Asking $old shipped in the USA.
