Marty Young Model 4
Marty was a protege of Kit Carson and it shows in his work and his style. I purchased this knife directly from Marty at the Blade show in 2010. I carried it a few times before it ended up in the back of the safe. I am not sure why, because it is great little knife. Since I am not using it I thought I would release it back into the wild.
It is a great EDC, and would make a nice first custom knife for someone who is thinking of getting into the custom market.
It is in excellent condition, but does have a couple marks on the back of the blade and some snail trails on the clip. The drop point blade is 440C and 3.625 inches long. (I know 440C is not a super premium steel, but it used to be the steel of choice for custom makers. It is still a solid performer and it costs considerably less than the new super alloys.) Overall length is 8.5 inches. Titanium frame and clip. Carbon fiber bolsters and tan G10 handle scales over red liners. Lock up is tight, but the blade ever so slightly favors the presentation side. The action is a little stiff but I never took the time to break it in. It opens easily with the flick of the thumb and just a touch of wrist action. Fit and finish is very good throughout.
Price $360>>$340

Price includes fees and USPS Priority shipping within CONUS. No international shipping at this time. PayPal G&S only please. Payment must be made promptly. If payment is not made within a reasonable time period (within 6 hours) the knife will go to the next person in line. I will not hold knives.
The first unqualified "I'll take it" in the thread gets it. Once you post in the thread PM me to exchange payment and shipping info. I am happy to answer to answer questions via PM, but if someone else posts in thread in the mean time they get priority.
Must be 18 to buy, and you are responsible for complying with all laws concerning knives in your area.
Trades: The only items I am interested in are Spyderco Native 5's in either blurple S110V and/or Maxamet (plus cash). Used is ok, but it must be in excellent condition and a good example of the model (tight lock-up, centered blade, etc.).
Thanks for looking
