Greetings all,
Offered for sale here is an impressive and massive S-guard bowie by the super-talented JS bladesmith Wess Barnhill.
The specs on this piece are as follows:
1084 blade steel
10 7/8" blade
5 1/4" handle - premium desert ironwood
2" wide at its widest point
.245 thick at the ricasso
The specs don't tell the story of the utterly sublime fit and finish; the mean fighting-feel of the blade in hand, or the sheer visual impressiveness of this offering. Coop's excellent pics certainly help with that last bit, though.
This is one of those knives where if you had to explain what a bowie knife is to someone who doesn't know, you could draw this from its sheath and no words would be necessary. And speaking of the sheath, for those not familiar with Wess' leather work all I can say is that this is the very opposite of a serviceable afterthought: Wess makes sheaths that are worthy of the knives they contain.
You can read a bit more about the knife here:

The pics do speak for themselves. If you think you are seeing surgical precision in fit and finish, you are correct. Heck, the domed butt cap alone is practically a piece of fine jewelry.
Offered at US$975 which includes shipping (in the US and Canada) and Paypal. No "net to me" fudging of the price here - one number to click and send and bring this to your doorstep.
Overseas shipping to an established forum member is doable, but I'm afraid it is quite costly, - an additional $50 will be required.
As always, I'm happy to answer any questions, but the first "I'll take it!" by PM or email to pinnocr@hotmail.com will make this knife their very own. Do contact me before sending any payment.
Thanks for looking and reading and all the best to you and yours.
Roger
