Rick Menefee Lanny's Clip
I am the original owner and I have carried the knife several times (10-15 times?) but never used it on anything other than a little paper and arm hair. It still has Rick's wicked sharp edge on it. There are some very faint, but inevitable handling marks on the high polished bolsters, but other than that it is as received from the maker. This knife has half-stops and the spring is flush in all three positions. You will also note some really top shelf jigged bone handles, fluted bolsters, gimp shield, long pull, and as expected the blade is ground thin. A real cutter.
Scales Culpepper's Jigged Bone
Bolsters & Liners Stainless Steel
Closed Length - 3 7/8"
Steel - CPM-154
Shield - Gimp
Condition 98%+ of new from maker
Pull - about a 6.5 out of 10 (can be pinched open)
Asking Price - SOLD
In the interest of full disclosure, I received the knife with a few minor finish issues. From what I have gathered this is not uncommon and of course has no effect on the performance of the knife. There are light scratches on the shield, VERY light scratches on one of the bolsters (my guess is a dirty thumb swipe while polishing maybe?), and one little ding on the other bolster.
I had to rig a black background and play with the camera settings to get the bolster scratches to show and without the right light you can't see them:
Same black background to show the shield scratches. The scratches are at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. The haze at 12 and 6 must be smudges or reflections, there is no defect except for the 10 and 2 edges in the pic:
This is the spot on the other bolster, again very small and would go unnoticed except under close scrutiny:
Terms and Conditions:
I will only accept payment with PayPal or USPS money order. My asking price includes Shipping plus insurance (paid by me), and I will require a signature upon receipt. I will not ship outside CONUS. I will ship the knife after I receive payment from Buyer.
If you have any questions or concerns about the knife (my description, pictures, etc.), CONTACT ME AND ASK ME. The knife is sold as-is and as described in this post. The Buyer has 3 days to examine the knife after receipt, and if the Buyer does not want the knife during that 3 day period for any reason, the Buyer agrees to send me an email or private message within this 3 day period and I will refund the payment after I have received the knife back from the Buyer. The Buyer will pay the postage cost if the knife is returned to me, and shall return the knife using USPS Priority Shipping, with signature upon receipt required. The knife must be returned to me in the exact same condition as when I send it to you (which will be determined by me in my discretion) or I will not accept the return and will not refund your money.
First person to say "I'll take it" in this post, or send me a private message saying "I'll take it", gets the knife. I reserve the right to refuse to sell the knife to any person for any reason.
Thanks for looking!
