I purchased this knife from Mr. Marfione at a Blade Show about 8 or 9 years ago, and it has been sitting in my safe in a pouch ever since. I have not carried it, used it, or re-sharpened it. It is in the original condition.
I recall Mr. Marfione telling me that this was one of only two of these knives that he had made at the time. I have not been able to match this handle and blade style to any others that I have researched on the Internet, so perhaps there were no others. It could be the precursor to the Combat Troodon - but I am not truly sure of the model. It has a highly polished dagger-shaped blade (no blood groove), and the handle is carbon fiber (no glass breaker). It measures 7 7/8" in overall length, and the blade is just about 3 1/2" long (to the handle). It weighs a surprisingly light 2.5 ounces (70 grams). The titanium pocket clip is marked "A. Marfione" with the Microtech dagger. There are no other marks on the clip typically found on these customs - like the date or serial number.
The OTF action both deploying and retracting the blade is outstanding. It is fast and easy on the thumb.
