Up for sale is this modified Imacasa #1209
Modifications to this piece include:
~Cutting handle to length
~Shaping of handle
~Sanding/oiling of handle
~Straightening of blade
~Grinding/convexing/polishing edges
Blade: 12"
Handle: 6"
Point of balance: 3.5" forward of guard
This piece bane of brambles everywhere! Sharpened on both sides for rapid low-to-the-ground clearing, the blade curves slightly near the tip to ease horizontal and limbing cuts. The more drastic curve of the stock blade has been eased back into a mostly straight profile with only the last few inches of the tip having a gentle curve, increasing versatility drastically. The handle features a swell at the lowest rivet to facilitate the pinch grip. While not an elegant beauty of a machete, this crude beast will handle whatever you throw at it without complaint.
